Male Infertility Treatment in Hanamkonda
Male infertility is not one condition, and that is why a single prescription so rarely fixes it. The treatment that helps a man with a varicocele does nothing for a man with an obstruction, and neither helps a man whose sperm production has been suppressed by a testosterone supplement he bought at a gym.
Which is why treatment here begins only after the cause is established — clinical examination, advanced semen analysis, hormone profile, scrotal Doppler, and genetic testing where the picture warrants it. Once the cause is known, the range of what can be done is considerably wider than most couples expect.
Three things are worth saying plainly at the outset. Sperm production takes about 74 days, so nothing is reassessed before three months. Many causes are correctable, and correction often allows natural conception. And even where no sperm appear in the ejaculate at all, biological fatherhood frequently remains possible through surgical retrieval.
What treatment looks like, by cause
Reversible factors, corrected first
Stopping anabolic steroids or testosterone supplements, treating infection, adjusting medication, weight reduction and heat avoidance. This costs nothing and, in a meaningful number of men, is the whole treatment.
Varicocele — microsurgical correction
Performed under an operating microscope so the artery and lymphatics are preserved. Microsurgical technique substantially reduces recurrence and hydrocele formation compared with conventional open surgery, and semen parameters commonly improve over the following months.
Hormonal causes — stimulate, do not replace
Where a hormone deficiency is suppressing production, we use agents that stimulate the body's own testosterone and sperm output. Giving testosterone itself would suppress fertility further, which is precisely the mistake we spend a lot of time undoing.
Obstruction — reconstruct or retrieve
Where the blockage is surgically correctable, microsurgical reconstruction may allow natural conception. Where it is not, PESA retrieves mature sperm from the epididymis with a high success rate.
Azoospermia — retrieval, matched to the cause
TESA for testicular retrieval, PESA for obstructive cases, and microdissection TESE where production is impaired and sperm exist only in isolated focal areas. Choosing the right technique for the cause is what determines success.
Freezing, so nothing is repeated unnecessarily
Surplus retrieved sperm are cryopreserved for future cycles, sparing you a second procedure. Sperm banking is also arranged before chemotherapy or radiotherapy where fertility may be at risk.

Microsurgery performed here
The operating microscope means varicocelectomy and microdissection retrieval are done in Hanamkonda rather than requiring travel to a metro centre.
Coordinating with your fertility unit
Where retrieval is timed to your partner's treatment cycle, we coordinate directly with the assisted reproduction team so the timing and laboratory readiness are arranged in advance.
Bring both partners' reports
If your partner has already been investigated, bring those results. Assessing both sides together avoids repeating tests and gives a far clearer picture of what will help.

Frequently Asked
Is male infertility treatable?
Frequently, yes. Varicocele, infection, hormonal deficiency, obstruction and medication effects are all correctable, and correction often allows natural conception. Even in azoospermia, retrieval procedures make biological fatherhood possible in many men.
How long before we know if treatment has worked?
Semen parameters are reassessed around three months after starting treatment, because a sperm production cycle takes approximately 74 days. Anyone promising improvement within weeks is not describing how the biology works.
Will surgery for varicocele definitely improve my sperm count?
It improves parameters in a substantial proportion of appropriately selected men, but not in every case, and we will give you a realistic expectation for your specific situation rather than a general figure. Selection matters — not every varicocele needs surgery.
What happens if no sperm can be retrieved?
We discuss this possibility fully beforehand rather than leaving it to the day. Options may include microdissection retrieval, hormonal treatment then a repeat attempt, or a conversation about donor sperm and adoption. You will not be left without a next step.
