Privacy Policy

Our commitment to your privacy

RAMS Andrology & Urology Centre treats patient confidentiality as fundamental to practice, not as an administrative formality. Much of what our patients discuss with us is deeply personal, and many delay seeking care precisely because they fear a loss of privacy.

This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is stored and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

Information you give us directly: your name, contact number, email address, age, medical history, symptoms, current medications, and any reports or images you share with us during consultation or through our appointment form or WhatsApp.

Clinical information we generate: examination findings, investigation results, diagnoses, treatment plans, procedure records and follow-up notes.

Website information: basic technical data such as pages visited and approximate location, used only to understand how the site is used and to improve it.

How we use your information

To provide clinical care, including diagnosis, treatment planning, surgery and follow-up. To contact you about appointments, results and treatment. To maintain medical records as required by Indian medical practice regulations. To process payments and issue receipts. To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers or marketing companies under any circumstances.

Confidentiality and disclosure

Your medical information is not disclosed to family members, employers, insurers or any third party without your explicit consent. This includes spouses and parents. Where a partner attends a fertility consultation, information is shared only to the extent you agree.

Limited exceptions apply where disclosure is required by law, by a court order, or where there is a serious and immediate risk to life. Where we refer you to another specialist or laboratory, only the clinically necessary information is shared.

Data security

Records are access-controlled and available only to authorised clinical staff. Physical records are held securely on the premises. Electronic records are protected by access restrictions and password controls.

Messages sent through WhatsApp are subject to that platform's own encryption and policies. Please avoid sending sensitive images or documents through unsecured channels where possible — we can arrange a more secure alternative.

Retention of records

Medical records are retained for the period required under applicable Indian medical regulations, and often longer where continuity of care makes it clinically appropriate. Records relating to surgical procedures are retained for extended periods.

Your rights

You may request access to your medical records, ask for factual corrections, request a copy of your reports, and withdraw consent for non-clinical communications at any time. To exercise any of these, contact us on +91 95369 72369 or write to ramsandrologyurologycentre@gmail.com.

Cookies and website analytics

This website uses only basic functional and analytics data. We do not use advertising trackers or sell website data. Embedded content such as the Google Maps location panel is subject to Google's own privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated periodically. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected here.
